What this covers
Everything on eclectie.ch: the pages you read, the contact form, and the email addresses published on the site. Links to eclectie.org and tradehou.se lead to separate organisations with their own policies.
This policy describes what eclectie.ch collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers this website only — the other organisations of the ECLECTIE group publish their own policies.

Our hosting infrastructure records each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and the browser and operating system reported by your device. These records exist to keep the site running and to investigate abuse and faults. They are not used to build a profile of you, and they are deleted on a rolling basis.
When you send the form we receive the name, email address, optional company and message you typed, plus the language of the page you were on. We use them to answer you and to keep the thread of the conversation. Nothing from the form is sold, shared for advertising, or used for a mailing list. The message reaches our own mailbox and stays there as long as the enquiry stays relevant.
To keep out automated abuse the form counts submissions per IP address for a short window and includes a field that is hidden from people. Neither is stored beyond the moment of sending.
Applications sent through the form on the careers page are read by the people deciding on the role. We keep an application for the duration of the process. If we would like to keep it on file afterwards we ask you first, and you can say no without it affecting the current application.
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read and how people arrive. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google your IP address, the pages you view and technical details about your device. Google processes this data on our behalf, including on servers outside Switzerland and the EEA. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not combine it with anything you send us.
You can prevent it entirely with a browser that blocks the script, a tracking blocker, or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
The only cookies this site sets are the analytics cookies described above; the site itself needs none to work. Every browser lets you refuse or delete cookies for a site — the details are in your browser's own help pages.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following:
Our hosting provider, which operates the servers, and Google, as the analytics processor. Both act on our instructions. We do not sell personal data and we do not pass it to advertising networks — this site runs no advertising.
Server logs: a short rolling window. Enquiries and applications: as long as the matter is live, and afterwards only where a legal retention period requires it. Analytics data: for the period configured in Google Analytics.
Send the request through the contact form and we will act on any of the following:
You can also complain to a supervisory authority: the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner in Switzerland, or your national authority in the EU and EEA.
When this policy changes we update the date above. Material changes are reflected on this page, not sent out individually.
